Marital Counseling

Marital counseling aims to restore fractured relationships and rekindle love in the marriage. A trouble marriage is one in which the relationship itself has been seriously damaged. Mutual respect for one another is lost. Goals area individualized. It is a marriage that in conflict with itself. Once the relationship is restored, usually the couple able to work through the secondary issues they are facing. As such, the focus of marriage counseling is restoration of the relationship.

In marital counseling couples are encouraged to give up destructive patterns of interaction and replace them with more constructive biblical patterns of interaction. However, this is not a panacea. Positive results only possible when couples are willing to work hard, discipline themselves, and make the necessary sacrifice that are indispensable steps to rebuilding a healthy relationship.
